Conclusion

While new to the airport world, the approach used in AIRPORTS will help airport authorities to manage their pavement systems using much more information than has previously been possible. The full integration of PCI, roughness and friction data with mechanistic analysis is a major step forward in approaching the difficult problem of pavement management.
